Squawk Box has returned from his vaction.

God told Adam and Eve not to eat the fruit from the tree of knowledge. The serpent tempted Eve, who then tempted Adam. God found out and cast them both out of the garden, sending angels to gaurd the entrance. Some faiths believe that this knowledge was carnal, some believe was the knowledge of mortality... I like the gnostics. They believe that it was knowledge: The nature of the universe, god, self. The gnostics also believe in alot of other stuff that's hard for most to swallow. The belief that the god of the OT was evil. That Jesus was actually the serpent, that the original sin was of gods creation in the first place. The thought is, what if it was just knowledge in general that God didn't want us to partake of? Does this mean he wanted to keep us ignorance for eternity? Some believe that it was all planned like that, that man was meant to eat of the fruit of knowledge. I can see their perspective, though I don't agree with it. I personally look at it from two different ways, the first is the gnostic example; that god wanted us to remain ignorant. The other as a warning, we haven't actually partaken of the tree yet... but as a race we're soon going to, and it will destroy us.

Though there are numerous other options.

To those that keep evil blogs:
Don't misunderstand the post below, I like the evil blogs, I love it when you post to both blogs on the same day. I also know that you have never, nor do I believe that you ever will ask me to keep one. It's not meant as a critism, just a statement as to why I can't keep an evil blog. As for the sudden need to proclaim; well the whim struck, so I wrote. Chalk it up to insecurity if you like, sleep deprivation, or chronic brain farts. Truth is I don't know what I'm going to write until I've actually started typing, so the fact that I write about something really only means that it was the first thing to pop into my head at the time. It's just like that goddamn Staypuft Marshmellow Man.

Johnny Cash died, so did John Ritter. I almost never morn the lose of a hollywood personality of music talent, and this is no different. I can't morn either john, because quite frankly I didn't know them. The work that they did that had an affect on my life has already occurred, and the thought of any other work that they might have done is completely and utterly irrelevant. I'm sure thier families are sad. I would be to if I was a friend or family member. I'm not. Until I meet one of these individuals and they have a direct on hand influence on my life, I refuse to morn thier death. I might think it's tragic... but I think alot of things are tragic... I think what they're doing to Yossarians tragic, but I don't morn him.

I've noticed a trend of keeping 'evil blogs' amoungst some of you. It's interesting. I'm not going to. I don't put alot of 'evil' stuff on my blog, but then again, it's not always a bad thing. I don't have a problem with my darker half, some of you know I have it, those that don't...well you may find out. What I don't put on, or I perhaps censor isn't set to advoiding offending people I do or do not know, though I'm rarely out to offend (you'll know when I am), I'm trying to advoid hurting those that I love. That being said... if you really want to know my opinion on something, really want to know what I think about a situation and it hasn't creeped up here, then email me: lojakz@yahoo.com
I'll answer.

Just wait.

And until then...

Aaron Copland's Symphony #3. It's exquisite. Beautiful. Momentous. I love it. I've listened to it about once a day for the past week and a half. We studied it in a composition class about three, or four years ago. I didn't appreciate back then. Oh I liked it, but I didn't appreciate it. It is in my opinion the first truly american symphony written in a traditional european style. I'm not going to explain that if you don't understand. You need to hear it. Most of you have heard part of it, from the fourth movement: Fanfare for the Common Man. Probably one of the most well known piece of symphonic music her in the U.S. Everybodies heard it. It is an inspiring bit of music. The symphony itself revolves around that fanfare. It's ingenious how Copland does it. I encourage all of you to go out and find it, download it, just listen to it. You may understad then.

Then again you may not, and I might just be blowing smoke up your ass.

So this weekend... I accomplished little, which is sadly more than I normally accomplish on a weekend. I did manage to re-arrange my living room. For the the few of you who have actually seen my apartment, you're probably laughing to yourselve saying, how in the hell could you possibly re-arrange your living room Frank? Well I moved the chair to where the t.v. was... I know, I know, not a huge amount of moving involved, but the apartment does look different and it feels a little different.
Next weekend I go down to Salt Lake for my first rehearsal with the Ren. Music group... boy I'm nervous, I really feel incompitent going down there, I hope they're not dissapointed. I played a little bit with Tom this weekend, we come up with a cool little thing on bass and guitar, we just need to figure out how to break out of the "verses" and into a chorus and bridge. I just need to shake the cob webs loose I guess.

Fall has arrived, and boy am I excited. I love the fall. I don't know what it is about the fall but I'm both incredibly happy, and incredibly meloncholic during the three or so months we get of autumn. I always feel so inspired, inspiration that usually carries me well into feb. or march. Strange, isn't it? It's more typical for people to get that bit of inspiration during the spring or summer. I suppose I'm odd that way.

For those of you who are wondering about the poems below, take the spaces out.
