Mario Cuomo

Here's a clip of an interview with Mario Cuomo on Hardball. He's got no love for our congress, he all but calls them a bunch of pussies for relinquishing the power invested in them by the constitution for declaring war to the president.
The republicans are all corporate whores, but at least they have balls and crazy misguided convictions... as much as i hate those convictions.
The democrats are all corporate whores... but none of the back bone.
Bunch of pussies.
Soon it won't matter though, we're headed for a fascist nation, wonder who'll be our dictator.

Early Plug for the Pillowman.

In a little less than two weeks (October 10th), The Pillowman opens at the Lyric Theatre here in down town Logan. I was tolerated at last nights rehearsal and allowed to watch while the cast did a run through of the show.
It's going to be a great show!
No question about it: the acting is solid, and the intensity for the play is there.
I implore all of you to catch it if you can. Hell even if you can't.
Be prepared though, the subject matter is quite stark, and there are some disturbing scenes and dialogue. It isn't a play for the squeamish, but even so, it's an astounding play, and this production is going to be well worth seeing.

The play runs October 10th through 13th at the Old Lyric Theatre in down town Logan (28 West Center Street). Curtain is 7:30, admission is free. (Donations are accepted however and go to the USU Theatre Students Association if i'm not mistaken)

why does it bother me so much to be addressed by my first name by strangers?
i read an article today in the news paper on how it's more common, in this day and age, to address individuals by their first name instead of their last. the last name is typically kept private.
why is that?
personally i would rather be addressed as Mr. Shaw, dude or even hey you than Frank.
perhaps it was my upbringing, but if some one doesn't know me i'd rather they not use Frank.
