good bye, so long 2005
the end is near.one day left after today, and i gotta say good riddance.
this year has been... well kinda shitty.
sure there were a few fabulous things that happened: joel and dee getting married was swell.
i got cast in a hell of alot of shows, which was cool.
but alot of stuff sucked this year too.
i'm not going to catalogue them all because quite frankly it's depressing and it's time to move forward.
but i can still be pissed about it all for one more day.
the experiences of the past year were growing experiences, to be sure.
but man, still good to be done with it.
time for a breath.
time for a breather.
i'm not making any new years resolutions.
new years resolutions are bullshit.
if they were things i really intended to do, then why wait till new years?
all in all, it's ridiculous for most people to make such well intentioned posturing for thier betterment.
as they have neither the means nor the sincere want to successfully do it.
it isn't everybody of course, there are those individuals who may very well be able to hold themselves to it.
but in my experience, they are few and far between.
what do i expect from 2006?
i expect to live life for the enjoyment of living it.
nothing more.
nothing less.
and i'll be damned if anybody is going to disallow me that.
and i'll be damned if i'm not going to spread that sheer joy, angry as it is, to other people.
so, in other words:
be happy goddamn it! or i'll kick your ass.
as for you 2005... see ya.
and the rest of you bitchcakers and others.... i'll catch you on the other side.
