A tragedy happened today 10 years ago.
We Americans are still obsessing over it. I'm not saying we shouldn't remember, for many of us the memory is still fairly vivid, but we've gone further than remembering. We obsess.
That's what those that would hurt innocent US citizens (and friends can argue whether any of us are innocent, but I feel that many of us are) want us to do. They want us to be afraid. They want us to be paranoid.
Our government has pulled away and stripped our rights for the last 10 years and we've let them because they have played this tragedy to make us paranoid.
It may be a play for power, but i think it's entirely likely that those in a position of power are afraid, and fear is contagious.
I'm not throwing blame here. I'm not going to point fingers at the President, or the military and Intelligence agencies. I am going to say we need to move on.
We need to go on with our lives, as tragic as this event was. As shocking as this even was, and as jarring as it was to our collective conscious, there come a point with grief where we need to move on with our lives.

I hope after this year we can do that.
