Salt Lake and Moving.

Well, in a little bit over a month (a month and a few days really) I'll be rolling out of Logan.
It's weird really. I've been thinking about moving for about 6 months, came to a firm commitment to do it about 3 months ago (3 1/2 but who's counting), and have been watching and waiting the days count down to it.
But it's finally becoming a reality.
I'm slowly packing up my stuff (read books). I'm taking a load out next weekend. It'll be mostly books and bookshelves. After that load I'll see what I need to take to the DI, which will be the next project on the docket.
OH, where to go from there. I need to think about employment opportunities... of which there are many.

I went down to Salt Lake last weekend. Short trip. My buddy Charlie and I went to see Picaso at the Lapine Agile, in which my friend JayC played Picasso.
Over all, not a bad show. Not a great show, but not bad. The show itself only had a couple of strong cast members, fortunately Picasso and Einstein were two of them. The fellow playing Einstein was great. I rather liked him. Sam McGinnis, who played Schmendiman for the production I was in, reprise the role for that show. It was essentially the same performance, which was good. Though it would have been terrific to see him take a different tact this time.
The other performances went from average, to horrible (well only one actually). Part of the problem was direction. The blocking was very static. Very little movement on stage when there should have been. Clusters of actors seated through long periods of dialogue or monologues cheated the actors out of some potential.
Over all though, a satisfying trip. I meant three absolutely lovely women, none of which were horrified by the verbiage vomited from mine or my friend Tiny's mouths. Hung out with JayC, which is always awesome. And my friend Charlie got to drink, see a live show and get out of Logan, which is good for him.
I'm eagerly looking forward to the next trip out there, which unfortunately won't be till after the move.

Ah the move. More on that in a week or so.
