Little posts.

I don't have anything epic to post. Well I do, but I'm not going to yet. Instead here are some thoughts.

1)I've read a few Creationist articles. I find it amazing that they are still harping about a "missing link" and the fact that evolutionary scientists and geneticists don't have all the answers when there are continuous advances in all the fields of evolution and genetics. This may make a larger blog post someday, but really, there are a lot of books out there that explain better than I could.

2) I am neither pro-gun nor am I anti-gun. Owning a gun is anathema to my own personal beliefs. That said, I do not currently begrudge anybody the ownership of firearms. That said, I'm really sick of both pro and anti-gun posts (primarily on Facebook) particularly pro-gun posts. Those that post them are trying to get their point across. I get it. Most of your friends on Facebook get. You fear your rights are being about to potentially violated and want to express it. More over you feel the need to make hinted threats towards the government in order to do so. If I were a leader of a nation, or in charge of intel collecting on possible dissidents of a free nation, you know where I'd go first to look for potential threats? Facebook. Perhaps I'll go into my personal beliefs sometime in the near future and explain why I am not a gun owner. But not now.

3) There's a lot of anger for President Obama. I get some of it. There are many things that I'm not happy with. It's amazing to me that I'm hearing the same rhetoric coming from my very conservative family and friends that I heard coming from my liberal friends during the Bush years. The thing that infuriates me about all of this isn't that they are angry (if not more irrational) but that much of the same stuff that they are rightly angry at Obama about were things that Bush did. They weren't angry then, perhaps because things didn't come crashing down until right at the end of the Bush administration (most of the people I know were not affected by it until Obama took office). So yeah, I think if you have a legitimate reason for being angry at Obama (and not one of the ridiculous reasons that so many people find) that's great, but make sure you're not angry at something that his predecessor is guilty of as well unless you're mad at them too. If not, you're just a hypocrite. This is something that I will expand on at a later date.
