The Horror. The Horror

Happy October!

I can't say that Halloween is my favorite holiday, despite my lack of religion I think in many ways that still goes to Christmas, but I can say that Halloween definitely ranks up there in the top five, after Christmas and Thanksgiving. (You know what's lacking? New Years, I honestly couldn't give two shits about New Years.)
That being said, I thought it would be fun to set myself up for a little challenge this month: Review three horror movies a week for the entire month. I would try and do one everyday, but that's simply not feasible given my work schedule, not to mention that there are other things I'd like to write about between those reviews. So that's the challenge.

I like horror films. Like Halloween, I can't claim that it's my favorite genre, but it definitely ranks up there. I love the campy horror, and I love the "Oh my god I need to scrub my brain with lye" horror as well. The films I ultimately end up reviewing will be a mix of that and everything in between. Certainly many films in my collection will be reviewed, as well as things in my Netflix que that have been begging to be watched for quite some time.

There's a smorgasbord of horror out there. I plan to view it all: American classics, French New Wave (that shit's disturbing), Japanese gorefests, even contemporary horror from the supernatural to the torture porn that became inexplicably popular during the last decade. Fifteen movies, in 31 one days.

LET'S DO THIS!!!!

[If anybody has suggestions please give them to me. I certainly have enough movies in my collection alone to do this challenge, but I like most (not all) of those movies. So if somebody has something that they'd like to see reviewed here, and is perhaps a little obscure or more niche, don't hesitate to post it below in the comments.]
