The snow binds us. Constant storms, every other day. It's exhausting. Don't know how much more I could realistically take. I've found that Roosevelt is less depressing in the winter than Logan. The mountains become claustrophobic, and the snow binds and seals us in this valley. Grey steel skies seal us in with an imposing finality.
The storms are supposed to let up.
I hope so.
I sincerely do. It's difficult to step out the front door knowing that snow is gently falling and covering the last offering with a new seal.
Less depressing in Roosevelt... strangely enough. The mountains don't feel like a prison. The cold still bites the bones, but there isn't a prison of rock, dirt and grey sky to mock us.
Winter continues....
hope it winds down soon.

I find winter to be a really difficult time, as well. Especially since the dreaded season lasts about half the year here! The sun came out briefly last week, but it was about -40 degrees so it didn't really matter.

Spring seems to thaw my mind and the ground. I wish it would come sooner.

Glad to see you're still updating, Frank.

Hey Buddy! I haven't talked to you for a while, and I'm sorry to hear things are so grey there. We're hoping to be there this summer, and I'm excited to see you again!

Love,
Richie
